This policy explains what information ATSVerse collects, how it's used, and the choices you have. We've tried to write it in plain language rather than dense legal boilerplate.
It applies equally to the ATSVerse website and, wherever it is distributed, to the ATSVerse Android app. The app is a standalone, offline copy of the same resume builder: the entire tool is packaged inside the app, your resume draft is stored only in the app's local storage on your device, and the app collects no data of its own — no device identifiers, no location, no contacts, and no analytics. The app does not load this website; its only network use is opening links (such as this policy) in your browser when you tap them. Everything below about resume data staying on your device applies identically inside the app.
1. The resume data you type
ATSVerse is a client-side application: the resume builder runs entirely inside your web browser. When you type your name, work history, or any other resume content, that data is saved only to your browser's local storage on your own device, so your draft survives a page refresh. It is not uploaded to, transmitted to, or stored on any server we operate — we simply don't have a server that receives it. Clearing your browser's site data, or using the builder’s own delete options — “Clear this resume” and “Delete every saved resume” in its More menu — permanently deletes it.
If you use the "Export data" feature, a JSON file is generated locally on your device and downloaded directly by your browser; it never passes through a server either.
The same design applies to every tool on this site. The ATS Checker analyzes pasted text — and any PDF/DOCX file you choose — entirely inside your browser using locally-running code; the file and its contents are never transmitted anywhere and are not saved to any storage. One exception you control: if you click “Tailor my resume to this posting”, the job description you pasted (not your resume) is saved to your browser’s local storage under a single key, atsverse.jd.v1, so the resume builder can show a live match against it. It is read only by the builder on this device, is never sent anywhere, and is removed by “Use a different posting” in the builder or by “Delete every saved resume”. The Cover Letter Builder, Job Tracker and Salary Calculator keep their drafts and entries in the same browser-local storage as the resume builder: on your device, readable by no one else, and deletable from inside each tool — “Clear draft”, “Delete all…” and “Clear saved inputs” respectively — or by clearing your browser’s site data.
2. Compliance with data protection law
Because ATSVerse does not collect, transmit, or store your resume data on any server, it does not act as a "data fiduciary" processing your personal data under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, or as a data controller under regimes like the EU's GDPR, with respect to that resume content — the data simply never reaches us. Where third-party services described below (such as advertising or analytics providers) do process limited technical data on their own systems, that processing is governed by their respective privacy policies, linked in the relevant sections.
3. Cookies and browser storage
As of the date at the top of this page, this site sets no cookies and runs no advertising. Two kinds of browser storage are in use: the local storage described in section 1, which holds your own drafts and entries on your own device, and a small offline cache kept by the site's service worker, which stores copies of our own pages, scripts, stylesheets, icons and fonts so the site opens faster and still works on a poor connection. The cache holds no personal data and nothing you type. Both are strictly necessary to provide the tools you asked to use, so no consent banner is shown for them — and neither is ever read by us, because nothing in them leaves your browser.
4. Advertising (if and when it is enabled)
We may in future display advertisements served by Google AdSense or similar third-party ad networks. If that happens, this policy will be updated before ads go live, and the following will apply.
Ad networks may use cookies, device identifiers, or similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites, and to measure ad performance. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet. You will be able to opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of several third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting aboutads.info.
If and when advertising is enabled, visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland will be shown a consent request before any advertising or measurement cookies are set, as required by Google's EU User Consent Policy and applicable ePrivacy rules.
We do not control the cookies set by third-party ad networks and encourage you to review their own privacy policies for details on how they handle data. Advertisers and the products they promote are not vetted or endorsed by us — see our Disclaimer.
5. Analytics
ATSVerse does not currently run any analytics or tracking script. If that changes in the future, this section will be updated first, and any analytics used will not have access to the resume content you type into the builder, since that data never leaves your browser.
6. Third-party links and content delivery
The fonts and styling code used on this site are served from our own domain — opening our pages does not send any request to Google Fonts or other third-party font services. Two exceptions exist. The ATS Checker page loads two open-source file-reading libraries (pdf.js and mammoth.js, used to read a PDF/DOCX you choose, entirely inside your browser) from the cdnjs content delivery network operated by Cloudflare — only at the moment you choose a file; pasting text never contacts it. The Resume Builder loads one open-source library (html2pdf.js) from the same network only if you choose the optional “Download image-based PDF” action; the standard PDF export never contacts it. Those requests fetch public code files and carry only the standard technical data any web request does (such as your IP address); they never include your resume or your file, which are processed locally and transmitted nowhere.

7. Children's privacy
ATSVerse is intended for job seekers and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time, for example when advertising is enabled on the site. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
